Where it may fit
Worth comparing if separate savings goals would help you organise money and you want a phone support route at any hour.
Consider the limitation: Less useful as your only account if you regularly deposit cash or cheques. Check JomPAY and direct-debit support before moving recurring bills.
Ordinary Pocket or Bonus Pocket?
Use an ordinary Savings Pocket to label money that may be needed at short notice. A Bonus Pocket rewards completing a selected tenure. Withdrawing early forfeits the bonus.
You have RM6,000: RM1,500 for next month’s rent, RM2,500 for unexpected repairs and RM2,000 for a holiday six months away. Keep rent available for payment and emergency savings accessible without depending on a bonus. Only the holiday portion is a candidate for the six-month Pocket, if its timing really matches your plans.
Before using the card, move the spending amount to the main account; money sitting in a Pocket is not the card’s available balance. If you receive RM500 in physical cash, GX’s terms rule out depositing the notes directly. Use your existing bank’s supported cash-deposit service, then transfer electronically, allowing for that bank’s fees and limits.

Borrowing from this bank
Compare financing eligibility and costs, including eligibility, costs and questions to settle before accepting credit. A savings account does not guarantee borrowing approval.
Before applying
GX’s July 2026 card disclosure gives broader ATM waivers than its general FAQ. Confirm the current waiver on the card screen before withdrawing.
Account approval depends on the bank’s checks. See Compare Banks for alternatives and PIDM protection for deposit limits.
