Where it may fit
A candidate for Islamic everyday banking if its account tier covers your usual payments and you are comfortable with discretionary returns.
Consider the limitation: Not a match for someone who needs a promised savings yield. If your outgoing payments often approach the Basic Plus limit, settle your tier and available allowance before relying on it for salary-day payments. Local ATM pricing needs confirmation.
Your tier covers the whole payment day
Under Qard, your deposit is a loan to the bank which it must repay under the account terms. Hibah is a gift it may choose to give. Budget without assuming a future hibah payment, even if previous months showed a return.
With Basic Plus, RM1,800 rent + RM2,500 transferred to family + RM400 groceries = RM4,700 outgoing. That leaves only RM300 of the RM5,000 daily aggregate allowance. A planned RM500 ATM withdrawal would exceed it, even if your balance and the separate card limit are sufficient. The monthly allowance matters too.
To request Premium, use More → My Tier → Premium → Upgrade Now and submit the requested income or occupation evidence. Approval is required. The current upgrade guide accepts several forms of evidence, including a payslip, bank statement or EPF statement. Official pages differ on the number of months of documents required, so follow the current app request or confirm with Wira KAF.
KAF’s published Premium daily limits conflict. Check the limits on this page and confirm your available allowance in-app before a large payment.
