Where it may fit
Worth comparing if your normal card purchases or eligible bill payments can meet the bonus conditions without extra spending.
Consider the limitation: The bonus is less useful if you must invent purchases to qualify. Activation requires another Malaysian account in your own name. You can use its ATM or branch for the initial transfer if you do not have internet banking.
Can five stamps fit your normal month?
Suppose you already have eligible card purchases of RM12, RM35, RM20 and RM15 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, then a RM60 eligible JomPAY bill the following Tuesday. If each meets the exclusions and biller rules, those five different dates can earn five stamps. The 30-day bonus starts on the fifth stamp.
Five payments on one day earn at most one stamp. A DuitNow QR purchase is not one of the campaign’s stated qualifying card or JomPAY transactions. Check each payment against the excluded merchant categories and eligible biller list, then confirm its stamp in the app.
A new set of five stamps resets the 30-day window; it does not add 30 days to the existing end date. When eligibility expires, do not keep budgeting for the bonus: the ordinary base return applies, subject to current account terms. The first-RM20,000 cap is across all Save Pockets combined, not per Pocket. Main-account money does not earn this campaign bonus.
Keep enough in the main account for payments, and separate long-term saving from the money due out this week. A published maximum transfer limit is different from your current default limit; merchant QR has a lower maximum than bank transfers.
