Online: RM5,000 minimum via eligible FPX or existing-fund transfers. At branches: RM20,000 for 12 months; RM10,000 for 3 or 6 months.
Spending requirement
No card-spending requirement for this placement offer.
Rates, caps & limits

Campaign period

When you receive it
General Islamic deposit terms describe IFD-i profit at maturity. The campaign’s placement flow asks you to select a profit-payment mode: verify the actual mode, receiving account and maturity date on the confirmation/certificate. Do not assume a monthly payout.
Published availability

1–31 October 2026, subject to remaining allocation. Confirm the campaign and rate on the placement screen.

What to do, and by when

  1. Use an eligible Maybank current, savings or Daily Fund-i account and money you can leave for the full tenure. Check your funding bank’s FPX limit if transferring from elsewhere.
  2. In Maybank2u web, use Apply → Accounts → Fixed Deposit → Islamic Fixed Deposit, then select the campaign and tenure. MAE supports the published existing-funds route, but the campaign terms describe that channel as subject to testing and availability.
  3. Check the principal, promotional rate, profit-payment mode and maturity date before confirming. Online placements are normally available 6am–10pm Malaysian time under the campaign terms.
  4. Save the certificate and set a maturity reminder. Automatic rollover does not qualify for this campaign; any renewal uses the prevailing Islamic board rate.

What could this mean in ringgit?

Illustration: RM5,000 × 3.93% for one year ≈ RM196.50 if held to maturity at that rate. Actual payout depends on the payment mode and applicable day count.

What could reduce or remove the benefit?

  • Choosing a standard placement or relying on automatic rollover can miss the campaign rate. The webpage mentions rollover/existing funds, but the campaign PDF explicitly excludes automatic rollover.
  • A debit from the funding account is not by itself proof of a successful placement. Failed FPX funds are to be returned within three working days; keep the reference if a refund is late.
  • The online minimum is RM5,000 for each available tenure. For personal branch placements it is RM10,000 for three/six months and RM20,000 for twelve; do not apply the smaller ordinary-product minimum.

If you withdraw, or the offer ends

The bank’s withdrawal notice and linked deposit terms differ. Confirm the applicable early-withdrawal terms before placing. Partial withdrawals are not allowed.

Who might find it worthwhile?

Consider it for money with a known future use after maturity. A higher rate is of little use if you must break the placement for bills.

When to skip it: Skip the longer tenure for emergency money or expenses due sooner. A shorter placement or accessible savings may fit better even if its headline annual rate is lower.

Keep evidence and get help

Retain the selected campaign name, rate, tenure, payment mode, maturity date, funding reference and certificate. For unsuccessful FPX or disputed withdrawal treatment, ask Maybank to confirm your specific placement in writing.
